The Melbourne Cinémathèque is a self administered and membership driven organisation, aims to present films in the medium they were created and as closely as possible to screen films the way they would have originally screened.
This visual campaign plays with the typographic characters to
generate a graphic effect that reminds of the film shots in different sizes. These individual shots are the building blocks of the film language, transmitting the intended story and message to the audience. A faded pink is used in reference to the common issue
of the traditional film technique – colour fading. This responds to the value of the Melbourne
Cinémathèque organization – they are dedicated to screening
rare & significant films in their original format.
